Hello everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Saturday was my first time out for the new year ~ I met up ith Richard &
Mike W downtown to do some detecting! It was cool that Mike's first
dig of 2009 was a Standing Liberty 25c ~ his first ever! That's an
awesome way to start out the new year! WOOHOO!!
I didn't dig any silver coins, but I did find one piece of silver
jewelry! I'm not totally sure what it is ~ I can see there was some
kind of a mounting that was on the back that broke off ~ the front has
two dark blue jewels/stones and the back is marked STERLING ~ 26 mm wide and 18
mm tall. Here's what else I dug:
1941 Jefferson nickel
10 Wheats ~ 25, 39-S, 44, 44-D, 45-S, 48-S, 52-D, 54-D, & two 56-D's.
1969 Canadian Dime
9 clad quarters
26 clad dimes
1 modern nickel
60 Memorial cents
I also dug a toy badge that reads, PRIVATE DETECTIVE ~ has a big eye in
the center that I assume had some kind if a jewel in it but its missing.
And I think there probably was an Eagle on top that got broken off.
Still kinda cool looking!
Thanks for looking! Hope you all had a great time detecting in 2008 ~
GOOD LUCK in 2009!
