Big brown truck brought a present today.... Stealth 720i-tube model 1/2" holes

Finally, a scoop with all the combined features I've been wanting for awhile now! Found out about it by accident awhile back when looking at their website, couldn't resist trying one out when they were available.

1 3/8" diameter 48" handle, tubular clamp style rather than the U-bolts with bracketry, a little deeper/longer scoop length, all 1/2" holes, angled backside..... excellent design!

Took it out for a quick test drive at a nearby inland beach, no goodies (didn't expect any), 3 junk hoop earings, but the scoop worked fantastic, really impressed!

Looks like a winner...one nice looking scoop.

That is going to be my next purchase.

The tube looks like a great upgrade. I've been happy with the previous model. Got used to the weight and it sure takes a big bite. Just watch out for your shins in the surf :tongue3:

Since it is far more likely that you will be bit/scraped by your scoop in the surf than bit/scraped by a shark, The greatest advantage of the new design for me is the improved stability over earlier models, as I hunt where there are strong currents and powerful waves. "With less area of the bars, waves and currents with not push the scoop around as much which is the largest gain with this design." quoted by Chuck in Detroit.

That's a helluva weapon! What could get past that? :dontknow:

Great scoop! I recommend having an extra handle on hand should the wooden one break. Nothing worse than getting out to dig and having it break. I replaced it with conduit and while heavy, keeps me from going @$$ first into puddle (yes, it has happened). The scoop itself is great for getting around large stones on a rocky beach.
