Went back to an old house about 20 miles away this afternoon (It was a copper kind of day)......
The new 350 is great for coins, along with the Garrett pin pointer, dug very little trash for a change. Got to hunt for about three hours.
Found a mystery metal also...it is about as heavy as lead but hard as iron. It is somewhat brittle as I could break small pieces of the edge with my pliers, it is not magnetic so there is no iron in it!! It had no rust after I cleaned it off with a brush.
I turned it on it's edge and hammered it with a hammer, it made a small flat spot like steel would make. BTW it's about 1/4 in. thick. Usually have no problems determining metals but this is a strange one!
