Hi folks, Spent four hours today at a CW site that we have been hunting for a couple years. I just got a Nel Hunter coil for my Atpro with the gift certificate to Kellyco that I won on the charter member monthly drawing. (Thanks again Kellyco and T-net). Had a good hunt but man is it dry. First picture is the bottom of a ten inch hole that looks like dust. The coil performed very well with several bullets found at eight and nine inches and the button was pushing nine. Should do even better when the moisture returns. The button is a general service eagle button but it is corroded bad but I'll take it. I think I'm going to like this coil. Hope it rains soon. Good luck to everyone and thanks for looking. IMG_20160917_095732828.jpgIMG_20160917_125838869.jpgIMG_20160917_132220161.jpg

Man that's some dry dirt indeed. Congrats on some nice finds. Looks like the NEL coil did pretty well.

I have the attack coil always have to turn sensitivity down then ground balance then turn back up good depth and separation Nice finds Thanks for sharing em!!!!!!!!

Very well done, especially considering the dry conditions.

Best of luck to you sir!

Thanks A2. I was told to do the same thing with this coil. It seems to ground balance several points higher than my stock coil. I played with it in some trash this morning and the separation surprised me for its size. I pulled a flat button out of a hole with two nails. I could hear the multiple targets before I dug. My 5x8 will do that but the stock coil, not so much.

Like the candle holder RN! WTG, Q.
Thanks Q. Wasn't sure if that's what it was but I found an example. It is a CW candle holder. Thanks, you have a good eye.civil-war-patent-candle-holder-sekela_1_0227a59fe0e2a95c515eed75ac441661.jpg

Nice digs RN. :icon_thumright: I know all about dry dirt, I lost 8 weeks of "in town" permission hunting this summer due to lack of rain. Glad to see you got something you could use from the contest. Charter membership has it's benefits. :notworthy:

WOW those Civil War bullets are great! Congrats on the button and Bell. HH

Great finds, and thanks for the feedback on the Nel coil. I've been thinking about getting one for my AT Pro.

Great stuff, Relic--super nice condition on those bullets! -Lisa & John
