First hunt with the 12x10 coil.

[willie d]

I had the day off, so I figured I would test out my new coil for my Silver Umax. I took it to a lot where they have a festival every year. I've been there at least a dozen times. Today was a 5 hour hunt. The new coil handled just fine and pinpointing was easier than I expected. Depth was good. The ground was very dry, we are in need of some rain around here.

All the finds straight from the pouch

$1.86 consisting of 5 quarters, 5 dimes, 1 nickel, 31 pennies, 1 of which is folded in half, 1 token, 1 shot shell end, 1 schick razor loader and 36 pulltabs (29 old style and 7 new style).

Good luck and HH !

Not too bad for the first time out with the new coil. Too bad there are sooooo many pull tabs and cans out there..... but we have to get them out of there to find the good stuff.

Congrats on cleaning up that junk. It's nice to get it out of the ground.

Nice haul with your new coil. Seems to be getting some of the things you have missed b4.

Thanks guys ! I was surprised how much stuff I pulled out of here. I didn't think this place was hunted out, but I wasn't expecting that much stuff. I'm really liking this coil ! Now I get to check my other spots to see what I may have missed. HH

Thanks Nick, I have a feeling the good stuff is just around the corner. I'll find out tomorrow.
