I don't ever remember being able to detect at the end of January, this winter has not been much of a winter at all here in New England. This week we spent a few hours at a small wooded knoll outside of town, and did well with first 2020 finds:

Went back out yesterday to a spot close by that was much higher elevation, and even though only picked up a single silver coin it was a beauty:

Always hoping to see the O mintmark on the mid-1890s dimes, can't believe I found one. Great way to start off the year!

Steve

Nice job Steve!! I agree, this winter has been awesome, the woods are still very diggable for sure. I’m headed out to do a yard shortly, I’m hoping it won’t be too bad

Absolutely awesome key-date Barber, but I'm a huge SLQ fan and the fact you nabbed 2 in one hunt- incredible- Congrats on.......EVERYTHING!

O, yeah! Hot DIME!
At 610,000 minted, that 1896 O is a rare lady! Congrats!
And, just like EVERYONE else, I think those SLQs are beauts, too!
Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Wow. Very nice start to the year. That's like half of the old silvers I'd find in a whole year haha. Keep it up!

Great finds in Mass! That KGII looks pretty nice given how they normally come out! Congrats on it all and that's a beauty of a Barber!

That is a nice Barber. Add those 2 Standing Libs to it, and you had a great day.
