I went out to a spot I thought was pretty much hunted out but since the weeds were dead I would try the woods next to the field. I only walked in the woods a couple minutes when I dug my first infantry button 1821-1840's. Then I seen where they had made two roads through the middle of the woods about 400 yrds long. I walked down one of the roads and got a couple flat buttons but nothing else. I visited the graveyard in the woods well theres 2 graves from the 1700s husband and wife he was a captain in the rev. war. On my way out I hunted the other road and about 100 yrds from the graves I got a KG III copper in bad shape but my first for the year. So wish me luck I will be hitting the woods again this weekend, it still has a lot of briar's but in the summer its not huntable. HH!
