First intact "Pocket Knife"

Hello all,,,
Found this pocket knife Tuesday morn'n. It reads, "13-852 / Pakistan". Anyone have a clue as to the age? It looks to be a fairly old design and is one of the best looking knives I have seen that was made in Pakistan...

Nice find...I found two shaving knives early this year with that same emblem on them...they were identified as being from World War II era

Neat little knife! Maybe for cutting carpet, or something thin- you need a strong, short blade and a handle long enough to get a good grip. Maybe Leather! Keep 'em Coming!

Nice find. The blade was probably broken then ground down. I grind all my knives that I break & keep using them.

This was found just below the grass, so I don't think it was in the ground for too long...

The blade seems to made this way. If someone redid it, they did a heck of a job on it...

I don't think that the blade was broken. Look at the groove where you wold put your finger nail at. If the blade were longer and broken the groove would not be present on the blade.

Never seen one like that before. Maybe like you said a carpet knife or a linoleum knife.

Looks simalar to the old "Barlow" knives. Good find though, all my found knives were beyond use!!

I have the same pocket knife, from a close relative's estate. I heard it was a cheaper brand name, but I completely agree that the knife looks interesting and very old. Just wondering if anyone could ever date it?

I agree, I don't think this was in the ground for
very long, as there's little corrosion evident.
The knife looks to date to the 30's or 40's.

I believe it is a grafting knife. It is used in tree nurseries.

snake35 is right. I've used one many times while grafting orange trees and avocados.
