I found this at a place that was built in 1971. Obviously the site had an even older history! I knew exactly what it was when it hit the sunlight because I have been looking at other people's finds. This is my oldest coin yet at 193 years old. I don't know what its worth but I thought I would post it. 1822largecentfront.webp1822largecent.webp

Congrats Orbit on a great old copper. They're not worth much but to pull one out of the ground is priceless....especially your first. I hope you find lots more and chrcking a first off the list is one of the funnest parts of this great hobby

Much nicer shape than my first LC which I proceeded to ruin by trying to clean it to reveal a clear date. You'll never forget the day you pulled your first large copper out of the ground. Mine had an IH cent lying on top of it.

I was just thinking about my first LC right before i saw your post. Nice job... i hope you find some more..

That's in great shape, the value is mostly sentimental unless you were fortunate enough to find a rare key date, congrats on your first!

Congratulations on finding a great coin! You never know what's going to be waiting for you at the bottom of the next plug. HH

I bet you were stoked when you saw that in the soil. I am happy for you. HH

Welcome to the L.C. club and a looker she is

last LC I sold was a dug '35, high bid was $30.89. your '22 is nice with the patina and a G4 '22 Redbooks at $25. not like they are available at your local Quikie-Mart. a crisp $20 is a good start price, but supply is low and demand is, well,----- what are you willing to pay for a piece of history?. I have saved an '18, (2)- '35's and have another in olive oil hoping for a date soon. HH

ORBIZT THEY ARE A COOL FIND .

Congrats on your first LC and a Sweet one!!

1 casper2.webp My first was in my yard as a kid - neighborhood was built in 1939 for military personnel
but in the 1800s in was a poor farm my grandparents said - mine was a 1798 that had been hit by a musketball

Great job keep it up!

Love those greenies,nice find!

Congrats on finding a treasured "first". My first LC was an 1819 which had little book value. That coin means an awful lot to me, though, and I can't imagine parting with it. Seeing that green coin today in its 2x2 brings back those great memories, the feelings I had when I first realized what I'd dug. Then I'll think about the person who lost the coin, and how different my life is than his. You always remember your first.

Congrats on your first large cent! They are always fun to find in the hole. :). I hope it's the first of many for you.

Congrats on your first. It's a nice coin too, lots of detail and a date. Very well done.

Congratulations on the old copper find! The coin has very nice detail and will clean up nice.

Very nice detail on that old copper :icon_thumleft:
