My ballpark finds. Nothing spectacular, but it felt good to get my feet wet again. Before I hit the ballpark, I went over to the Athletic grounds/ fairground area. This place has a huge grass field where they hold flea markets/ fairs/ local events and such. I went into the office, some lady answered the door. I kindly asked if I could Metal detect there. She was very helpful, she told me the owner wasn't around, but she would give him a call. So she did. She got the machine and left a message. She told me to leave my name and phone number and they would call me if it was okay. I'm still waiting, I hope they say yes. I will follow up if I get no call back.

There was also a guy there, but he wasn't so friendly. He started to say I don't think the owner wants holes all over his property. I told the guy I would  fill in any hole or divot I dug. I think the guy probably wants to look for himself. Oh Well! Plus I only dig about 6-10 inches at most. With a little shovel.  I guess will see what happens.

You know what? For every nice guy/Lady you are going to find at least two not so niceys. Get use to it but always be respectful. Yesterday, I asked a lady if she would mind if I detected her yard. Her reply? "I do mind!" And, it wasn't the fact she said no but the way she said it. I politely asked if I had offended her someway. She answered, "No, my son does that too!" I found out later she was a pastor! I really, really had to bite my tongue; my thoughts were nastyly rampant. :)

Keep on knocking, keep on asking!
GRB----Here is something I 'm leaving on doors for those who refuse to answer or are not home. Surprisingly, I'm getting calls! ---

May I please search your yard for old coins and relics?
I'll treat it as my own, being extremely careful with my digging and gladly share any finds with you!
Come on; aren't you curious what's down there? :)
