Went out to hit low tide near the house tonight with my waterproofed Minelab Sovereign GT (aka: George Throughgood...and it was GOOD tonight!). Tide was still a few hours away from low but there were some nice low spots and small micro cuts up and down the beach. I was about an hour and a half in and wasn't finding a whole lot (Ipod, a few pennies, trash ect...) when I started into a smaller shallower washed out area that the water was receding out of and got a nice low tone that I haven't heard in quite a long while (no gold since April). One scoop and it was out and in my hand! Couldn't read the markings out on the beach but I knew it was something good based on the tone and the weight. Ring is marked SMYTH PLAT. It is 3.6 grams and has 7 very nice diamonds set into it. I was psyched, it is my first platinum ring (not counting the one I found in a yard this spring for a friend of a friend) and it was nice to know the drought was over!

As I was gridding and walking this washout I got a hit and could make out a small shape of a cross. Turned on my light and saw this just laying on the damp sand.

Not sure what it is made of just yet. I'm guessing pot metal but I won't know till I clean it up some tomorrow and look for markings or lack of same. The rusty lump at the top is the chain which leads me more to think it is junk but not really sure.
A little further down the beach I got a nice solid scratchy sound and pulled this nice bracelet out of the sand.

It is marked "925 SU CH ©" 925 for silver obviously and after some research found out that SU most likely was from Silver Unlimited (internet based company that imported it and is no longer in business) the CH may be from the Czech Republic where it may have been made and I guess the © is a copyright symbol? Dunno....any thoughts on that one?
Here are the rest of the pictures:

Thanks for looking and I hope to have more to share soon!
