My family owns a bit of land here in Utah where it is known that Native Americans spent the winters. We always go out and find quite a bit of broken pottery, but not much else. That all changed today when we found this great point! I say we, but I will confess that the wife found it!

West-Central Utah, about 2.5 hours north of St. George. Your dad should definitely be hunting down there, lot's of opportunity. One problem is though, most of that land is protected and you are explicitly forbidden from picking up any artifacts. If he could find some landowners that would be best.
