1901 site keeps giving , this is my first on this style. I got it rolling again. Couldn’t save the pin though

What is it about the center pin? If it’s not there it’s pre 1900?

A different metal and first thing to corrode, rust away. Its annoying isn't it.

I knew it was going to break with that amount of rust on it to try to get off

Yeah with some things I think "will I wont I" like a bent thin plate buckle to straighten it. I look and go "yeah that'll be right" then snap its in two pieces or halfway there broken or shows a stress line 😖
I still try though, I hate bent stuff. 😆
