We had a family get together today at my wife's parents house. Perfect day of 70 degree weather and not a cloud in the sky, along with a virgin yard.... So I bring along the machine...just in case :-). Well, after showing my father in law my machine and telling him about some of my finds, I fired up the ATP and swung around the back door step and saying "possibly a penny here, there's a quarter, a dime here" got his interest in what was down there. He then gave me the OK to cut and find it. So I went with the potential dime target first and out popped the 1957 D Rosie!!!! I was so excited I forgot to take a pic of it in the hole. My heart skipped a beat, or two, and had to look again to make sure it was real. It was so shiny, I had never seen silver come out of the dirt, only in pictures from you all. My day was made! First target of the day and all within the first 5 minutes of turning the pro on. Then it set in, what else is here if I'm starting off like this?!?!? Over the next 5 hours I pulled a bunch of clad, a hose nozzle, some toy cars from her brother when he was a kid, a couple chunks of lead (that was hitting like a dime) and some iron that would show as a penny/dime...not sure why. Then the wheats started popping...4 in a row! I was in heaven, and he couldn't believe the amount of stuff I was finding. Then the unbelievable happened, I unearthed the 1964 D Rosie... 2 silvers in my hand! Grabbed the detector and said, "well things happen in 3's right???" My father in law just laughed and said good luck. Well the third never surfaced, but I only covered about 2/3 of the yard cherry picking. Guess I have more work to do there.

Glad to see the ATP is producing some silver for you! Use both of those coils to get all you can from that yard. :)

Congratulations on your finds. I broke into silver pretty much the same way. Now your REALLY hooked!

Thanks for the replies guys! And I sure will put on the 8x5 next time, Keith! I'm still pinching myself...

Other then trying to cover a huge area fast, I would keep that 5 x 8 on the AT Pro.

Very cool! Congrats on your first silver! May you get many more.

Great finds Husker! Thanks for sharing...

Very nice hunt. Congrats.

very nice. I love the way silver comes out of the dirt all bright and beautiful

Thanks for all of the repies! Definitely looks very promising for potentially more in this yard. Now to put the 5x8 on and get back there. It is very hard to be at work today knowing I have a producing yard that is sitting and waiting for me on this 65 degree day

Dig on!

Congratulations on your first Silver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dos dimes. Way to go.
