Well I went to a tucked away park I found recently. I was'nt sure of the age of the park so I figured, just do it. The grass is high now but the shadow was still finding the clad. I found I was digging way to many old style pulltabs, but it also told me the age was at least 60's - 70's. Then I popped a wheatie. Good sign for silver. After three or four wheaties I dug a 1950 quarter. Now I'm pyshed. 15 minutes later a 1946 dime. Prior to finding those I decided I would only dig the signals that would pass with coin check. Plenty of time to dig it all on other hunts there. I'm digging this deep sounding signal when my wife calls. Talk with her some and back to recovering the target. I'd say close to 9" down I see a big coin edge that at first looked like a large cent or copper.Pull it out and it's a 1921 Morgan silver dollar! Man was I talking to myself out there. What a rush. After that I got one more silver dime 1947-D. Also a 1941 nickel. Not too shabby a 4 silver coin day. Was out there probably over 3 hours when some people showed up to play baseball.
I can't wait to hit it after the grass is mowed. I've been using my White's Classic II for 11 years now, but I must say the X2 is now my main detector.
