First silves w/ AT Pro

I don't own the Garrett AT Pro but I go with my friend that has one until I get my own. We were hitting some homes in our local town and it was my turn to use the AT Pro. I was checking along the gardens by the front door and I got a almost inconstant 80-81. I knew it was going to be a penny but to my surprise It was a silver quarter. We found other finds that day like a old axe head, various tags, pocket knives, and the ever so common clad coins.

SCORE !! Great find! In the three-four months I have been detecting, I have amassed over $60.00 in clad quarters (yea-quick math says 240+ quarters..)..and NOT ONE silver quarter! I have dug half a dozen silver dimes, a couple Barbers, enough silver rings and bracelets for each finger and wrist, a 1922 silver Peace Dollar...etc etc...but NO silver quarters and I'm starting to take it personal ! lol...and I swear that half my clad quarters are 1965's !! Seriously, I bet I've dug approximately a dozen and a half 1965 quarters, sometimes side-by-side! But I guess that is how the old timers do it...to dig silver you have to dig a lot of clad too..thanks for sharing..welcome to the hobby, now quit hogging the detector and get your own AT Pro!! ha..that way you and your hunting buddy can find DOUBLE the amount of silver! ddf

Great find!!...Thats why it pays to dig them good signals...Ive dug a half dollar that was reading 86 and wouldnt budge...and at the same time, I dig deep pennies that read like quarters..lol...alot of factors go into it....thats why you gotta dig anything that sounds good

Makes ya wonder who peppered the place with all the 65's?
One time I got a weird quarter signal that couldn't make up it's mind, turned out to be a nice size silver band!

Very nice find congrats. I just found my first silver quarter ('59) last weekend. I have (10) silver dimes, but that quarter eluded me for several months. GL&HH!
