Have about six hours in at the beach with the new ace 250. Plenty of coins, a junk watch and a match box car so far. Have about fifty digs with only ten percent junk which I suspect is a good stat for just about any machine. Correct me if I am wrong. Certain junk items will definitely fool this detector.
The larger head phones that came with the MD are keeping most of the curious from bugging me but I did get my first "find any pirates gold" from a pair of older gentlemen. The good part was I was over a pocket drop of loose change at the time, get a lot of these at the public beach and most coin finds are in groups. I was just about to pretend I couldn't hear them due to the head phones when I notice a nickle from the drop was right on the surface.
Bent over and picked it up and tossed it over to the wisecracker and informed him that back in his day he could have bought a cup of decent coffee with that. They got a bit of a chuckle out of that and moved on. Sometimes things just fall into place perfectly.
