For my second time out wth my Ace 250, I went to an elementry school playgound that is close (1.35 miles) to my house. The playgound was covered with gravel, NOT sand.

Using the tips given to me by other forum members, I didn't dig any trash, was able to distinguish good from bad targets much better. I really appreciate the help that has been given to me by forum members.

Today, I found the following:

Two pennies (1996 & 1999), both IDed as pennies.
One nickel (2005), IDed as nickel
One dime (1991), IDed as dime
One ring, James Avery Sterilng Silver with "bird design", IDed as dime
One copper button, IDed as penny

There were not many targets found, it was pretty free of trash. Tomorrow, I will go to a nearby middle school and back to the park.

All in all the Ace 250 is living up to my expectations....which are pretty high after reading all the PRAISE of the Ace 250 from other forum members. The praise is definately warranted. I am very HAPPY with my ACE 250!!

Nice finds but if you are not digging any trash, then you might be missing something. Coins on edge meaning up and down, thin gold/silver rings and thin chain bracelets will ID as trash. The best discriminator is a shovel. HH, Mike
