My 12 year old son and I have just picked this up as a hobby, we are already avid hikers and geocachers and this gives us another reason to get outside. He originally found a small dump in our hometown of Pitman, NJ and brought some of the bottles home and has been trying to get me involved for some time. It wasn't until I was working in a customer's crawl space (old coal storage) that I came across my first bottle (Dill's Balm of Life). Since then, we have had our eyes out for some locations to explore.
I found an abandoned house that was for sale, and when I explored the property, I found an outhouse, and fifty feet further into the woods, I found a huge dump. My son was in Florida with his grandparents, so I was on my own. I stopped by one morning before work and just grabbed some bottles that were laying on top. I found some old Cokes, 7UPs, a Smirnoff flask, a Rolling Rock and some other unknown bottles. We'll be back when we have better equiptment and more time. Any information and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
