First Time Out With My Ace 250

Yep, finally ordered a detector of my own. Been patiently waiting for it to arrive since last Friday and it showed up yesterday. Got home, let the dog out and when Civilman got home, I opened it all up. After I put it together Civilman went into teach mode and went over all the settings and basics with me, Thank God. I was fine with everything, until he wanted to take it outside to show me a few things....I took it back and said sorry, I'll be the first one to get dirt on that coil, thank you.. ..LOL. We both laughed.

Here is what I did find, just in an hour of playing around with it to try to learn a little. Not much, but it was fun.

Thanks everyone...got a lot to learn..and I really don't think Ty & Civil will have to worry about me out hunting them any time soon . Thanks again...I hope to get out tomorrow sometime...HH

I have a Ace250 also only thing you really need to know is to keep your sens at 4-5 bars in the feilds an to keep the coil slow an low to the ground... the Ace will do everything else for ya...

the ace 250 is a good light weight machine and you get good bang for the buck at about $225 delivered it beats machines up to the 400 /500 dollar range ones -- I just love mine.
