Got some chores done then headed out midmorning to my farm. En-route I stopped at a neighbor's and secured permission to hunt an old house site on their land. Made a second stop at a farm and got permission to hunt a field for arrowheads and possibly MD in the spring. (winter wheat growing now.) I'll check back next summer when the crop is harvested.

At the farm I really took my time, sweeping extra slowly, trying to pick up good signals amidst all the rest. The ground was like soft butter from the rains making digging a joy. First dig was an old spoon which I took for a good sign. :) Pulled a 1946 Wheatie, another Antique Car Coin (4th for this site), and my first token: "Crystal White Laundry Soap." I thought it was a tag from a rose bush at first. For only a 1.5 hour hunt I was happy.

I'm really excited about getting permission to hunt the neighbor's land as it is just a short hop, skip, and jump over the field and through the woods from our house. I can get there in 5 minutes if I need a quick fix.

Thanks for looking and HH!

Nice finds Anne! Love the soap token! They haven't called them cakes in a good long time! Glad you finally got around to asking your neighbors for permission to detect! Hope you find lots & lots of stuff!

Spoon. I found a spoon today in my back yard, Oenida. Yours is nicer. Cool token.

Good luck,
HH.

Nice digs Anne! those old tokens are great and I see your getting out and looking for those old spots and asking permission to hunt them, thats how great finds are made! I always say "ya can't find a old coin unless you got your coil over and old site!" Keep up the good work.

Good things coming to those who ask nicely.Cool digs ....joe

I like those short productive hunts and I really like the token. I enjoy finding them as much as the old coins. Nice digs and good luck at the neighbors.

Coolness! Yeah! Relics of any sort are fun to dig up. I think that older dwellings and lots are good hunting sites. Hope you have fun and good huntin'. AMC
