First trip to the new site with Mirage and Dan....my first large cent!

Hey guys. Me, Mirage, and Dan got out again today, at the area that those two have been finding some real nice stuff including LCs and such lately. I haven't been there until today. We were plotting which areas to explore and I just kind of went along with whatever was decided. Long story short, we ended up later in the day at a real old foundation with the well pictured below. Nearby I ended up with my first large cent which was awesome to find, and kind of like what Dan said, like a monkey off my back. When you find something like that, at least for me, it's great to know you're going back that far when you consider the history of the small area that you're detecting. Also a silver rosie and 4 wheats (one of em has this weird raised edge or something and it's all corroded and bumpy on the coin's surface). Thanks again to Dan for allowing a great day detecting; as bad as the thick thorns got, it sure was an experience and a day I won't forget.

lol...acutally, I was working my way on the other side of the structure from where he found his v nickel. And besides, I offered to do a quick field cleaning on the coin for him anyway. ::)
