First V nickel !!

Ive been hunting for over 1 1/2 yrs and today;I found my first V nickel. I realize it not much compared to some of you guys finding them all the time; but ;youre talking to "the Q man".I hardly ever find anything old. I realize thats because I hunt mostly school yards and parks.

Its a beauty in my eyes though. A 1908.Probally not worth much. Thinking about buying a beezel and putting it on and wearing on the gold chain I found for good luck. Hopefully its a start of good things to come.

I found my 11th sac dollar of the yr;another matchbox car; old nozzle; more clad ; and trash.HH

Great coin. Nice other finds too.
The only two V's I've found were in a basement
of a house I was working on in a jar.

Congratulations on the V nickel. That one looks pretty good. In Cleveland here most of my old nickels come out that nasty red. :P

Ohio is a great place to hunt and Cinci has a lot of history. It took me a couple years before I figured out how to consistently find the old stuff.

Congrat's on finding the V nickel, found my first one a few weeks ago, 1912, Dark red too, looked better with the dirt still on it
