I was in a corn field I skimmed over a few weeks back. Found a really beat up War Nic and a first time ever, jews harp. Found some flat buttons, piece of a shoe buckle and a tiny cool buckle! :-)
Enjoy the pix

Very nice collection of relics. The "Jews Harp" is a cool find. :occasion14:

Nice, I've yet to find a jews harp. A buddy of mine found 2 at one of my sites...

Ha, you must be a klutz Gary, I like walking that field.

Yeah, I used to run lots of broken field cross country races. I was pretty good too. It's just that nowadays
I'm not quite as spry. LOL

I actually like hunting cornfields, it's just harder now. :)

Wish you'd come down and give them a whirl. lol The couch is empty now, my dog died last Sat.

Very sorry to hear that Brad. We had to have our 1 year old boxer put down on New Years Day. I have had nothing but bad luck since the day after Christmas.

I worked a couple other big sections of that field yesterday with no luck. Thanks

Thanks Dave, I feel your pain. I believe in the "law of attraction" I believe I make my own luck. My dog Racer had a great full life. I'll always remember the good times.

Thanks buddy, soybean fields are much easier to walk. This particular corn field has very "south jersey sand" soil makes it much easier to do. Hard to explain, but that's my attempt.

Maybe after they've picked the soybeans. But, I remember one particular race where we had to run through an abandoned soybean field. My GOODNESS!!! I was NEVER as tired after a race before or since!! LOL It felt like you had the plants grabbed and held your feet after every step!! Like running thru molasses!!! LOL

Maybe one day I'll come for a visit and you can show me the difference in sands. ;)

Thanks!

NICE FINDS HOOK ....

Well done Treb. I like the little knee buckle!

Best of luck to you in 2016!

Grats on the OD nickel and the harp

Nice looking Jews Harp. I have found a few but never a nice one like yours. Its my understanding that your little buckle is a breeches buckle. I have found a couple and a Rev War expert identified one of mine as a breeches buckle. It's not a kne buckle.

Great Digs Brad but I'm confused. What the heck is a War Nickel? You know the rules:laughing7:

Wish me luck and safe walking today. For I am on my way to attempt a cornfield walk. :)
