About three weeks ago, I got a phone call from a Vet student who had lost her A&M class ring. She told me it was lost in a "small" park, and asked if I would help find it. I met her at the park at 2 the next day, and the small park was 12 acres. We narrowed it down to about half the park. After being chased off the park a couple of times by the police, something about the park doesn't open till 0500, I finally found the ring at a little after 5 this morning. I don't know what time college students wake up, but I will be calling her within the next couple of hours.
As far as the police go, the few I have met understand the situation, that I have to be at work before the parks open, and they are too crowded by the time I get off. I now bring an extra thermos and cups, because they will now stop by and visit if they see me in the parks, walking around with flash light and detector in hand.
Have a great day everyone,
Bill
