That and long John silvers used to be the only fish I would eat. Then , Mr WD finally convinced me to try walleye. I’ve tried both since. I can’t do it.

Fishscale- That's what they're called.

Church site just bush now-picnics and pop stand. up in the back along the bank.
Bottle caps everywhere, but the coins are there also.
Oh I'll return for the annual spring hunt, dig more caps to get the change.
Pics can be provided-then what are pics without a story.
Though a story and a pic is good.

I don’t get it

Just fooling around Truth as you found out it's called a fish scale. I only do dirt fishing now in life and these little ones are the only catch (play on words that's all)
US-Trime 14mm .75 gram
Fishscale 15.5mm 1.16 gram

Just to give you some idea on size. Being of a heavier silver I find them ever once in a while. I did get 28 one year doing a 400 acre park system in Toronto but that was a 100+ silver year also.

The "McFish".

I refuse to eat fish of the species "undetermined". It could be barracuda (ciguatera poisoning), or a carp (heavy metals poisoning) or worse yet tilapia which is not a fish at all but in fact a fungus shaped like a fish.

Tilapia, yuck! I'd rather eat bait.

On the phone last night it was agreed to fish today being bedding season and the full moon plus some fantabulous weather...we fished our favorite lake for about 3 hours...did pretty good too! I finally got to ingest a huge fish sandwich from a restaurant on the way home...ahh...both felt real good! Enjoy!
