Fisher Coinstrike

Does anyone use the fisher coinstrike ? How good is it ? If you use one or have used one please tell me what you think of it . HH

I found it to be deep and stable with good iron handling. Aside from that, it has one of the most gawdawful user interfaces around, pi$$ poor notching and disc. ..Willy.

I`m a newbie and the Coinstrike is my first MD.The good points I like about it are:
1) target id locks on to coins really well
2) menu easy to use
3) hip mountable
4) pinpoint is dead on
5) deep unit
6) Good in iron
things to get used to (bad points)
1) uses 9 volt batteries
2) will id junk as good (but if you do your 90 deg.it will id as junk)
3) interference from power lines(turn down sens)
4) Takes time to get use to, its not a pick up and go machine.

My advice is to really do some research on any machine you are looking at getting. Take in consideration as to what you are going to be hunting. This machine works great on Round objects. Rings, coins and those annoying bottle caps. LOL The 5 inch coil is a must for trashy areas.

got one, had it for about 1 week now. finds quarters like mad... i should call it quarterstrike! still getting to know it. currently trying to get a hang of whats a bottle cap and what aint. seems to be sensitive to powerlines overhead. i have found ilver with mine already.. 2 rings and a large broche. silver readings where pretty consistent.

I have read a lot about them .Pretty much every body says close to the same thing in the reviews that I have read . It is a great machine but it has a really large learning curve and it will really frustrating you until you learn it. I have never used one but was researching one a while back. Good luck.
