Flake point?

Found this on one of my favorite gravel bars. Maybe a scraper or knife? Maybe just a flake, maybe just a rock. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

it looks like sandstone the high ridges though suggests to me it was run off a core id say flake and they were desperate for material

if that isnt flint then larson and gris are probably right i missed the part where you found it in gravel bar . ive found pcs that seem to look flaked off that is just creek or river rock. on the other hand i have found pcs of sandstone in shelters, before i realized it was morally wrong to dig them, that were exactly like what viking has, and i'll argue all day them to be utilized.
