✅ SOLVED Flat button. Civ or colonial era?

[Eyefind]

Found this last week with a garret 250. Came up as a penny. Says Standard orange colour with moons and stars around the shank. Would like to know age period.

I would put it in the early 1800s.

Thank you fyrffytr.

Pre Civil War manufacture, probably 1820s give or take. Could easily still been in use at the time of the Civil War.

Thanks Steve. Found the button in Waynesboro, Pa. I see alot of Pa residents on this sight. Very cool.
