Went to an old site where a home once stood. I could never prove a thing besides with square nails. Until...

Found a few flat buttons, probably all dating around 1800-1840's. All were 3" deep. So I dig these buttons and soon after get a slamming hit at 3" about 10 or so feet away. Thinking its clad I plow my shovel right in - and missed. It's my first Walker of 2016 ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1457380009.617400.jpg

If it were the same age of the buttons right by there it would have been glorious! But that's what keeps us hunting ain't it? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1457380068.798663.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1457380081.972002.jpg

Two exams down today, three more to go. I'm almost a free man again to hunt as I please! Lol

are you sure is cut,? found piece's of them like that before, always just figured that's the way some cookies crumble somtimes. Some do remind me of cut Spanish.

Well you can never quite be sure. I associate two things with snapping from bending of metals: curling around the edge and a lite roughness at the breaks edge. I don't see either. For me it was a nice departure from the usual flat button:)

Ya know, Scraps, I gotta read the subject lines better! I thought you said "first half of 2016" instead of "the first HALF, of 2016" LOL

Just love seeing big silver!
