Found a new field to hunt that is far drive from my home but I can't wait to get back. I had about two hours and did maybe half of it but a very quick and rushed hunt. I found six musket balls (gave two to the owner), seven flat buttons, two coins and a thimble (my first complete one) and a strange buckle. The buckle rang in as steady silver but don't know what it's made of and it was as deep as the other finds. I want to get back and give the area a proper hunt. I know there is lots more finds there and maybe some old silver coins if I'm lucky!
