Hello everyone, the primary way I pick up anything for my collection or silver stack is from flea markets and today was a very good day :hello2:! Went to my usual today and since it was rainy half of the dealers didn't even show up, but today I ended up walking out with more money than I came with (bet that won't happen ever again ). I am going to go back tomorrow, it is supposed to be a better day and more dealers should actually show up this time. Paid a dollar each for the Kennedy halfs, sold them off for 2 each, the ones in the picture are the ones I have left.

what are the years that you sold for $2.00?

1965 to 1970 are worth $2.84 in silver right now & 1964 is at $6.94

If you want just random years of JFK you can buy at 50¢ each in boxes of 1000 ($500)
I used to buy 2-3 boxes a week to pull out the silver. don't do that any more.

If a bank has up to $100 worth I will buy. and then spend at yard sales. people love it, most have never seen halves.
In the last month or two I have spent around $80 at yardsales.

That embroidered thing brings back some old Navy memories. Been to all 4 of those places.
Don't know, what is the name of the one in the middle, Nagasaki?

The middle one is Nikko and the halfs were 65-70, I only sold them at 2 dollars each because I was friends with the guy and have bought plenty of silver for under melt from him.

Nikko? That it so far out of the way for any sailor to visit with a few days off. Tokyo is pretty far too but a lot of faster direct trains to that city. Took these on my last trip to Kamakura and Toyko.

Made some nice scores at the swap meet today... Found a Snake Mountain playset for 2 dollars (worth 15-30) a TMNT carrying case for 8 bucks, a Remco Carlos Colon figure for 2 bucks (worth 20+), and a Clawdeen tiger with saddle for 5 bucks (worth at least 10)!

I managed to hit a flea market for the first time in a long while. There were lots of dealers selling older things, but most of the stuff that I was interested in was very overpriced. I also don't have tons of room to put things so I had to be very selective. I did manage to find 7 military service medals. Six of them were in their original boxes and had never been issued. The ones that I got were the Liberation of Kuwait set, a Humanitarian Service set, an Army Good Conduct set with the bar with 4 knots, the Southwest Asia Service set, the Army Achievement set, and the Army Commendation set. The Army Achievement and Commendation medals were in their original presentation boxes. I also got some WWII service medal that did not come it a box or anything. It was just laying on a shelf near the others so I got the dealer to throw them in. None of them are worth very much and all appear to be from the mid to late 90s. I feel that I got a good deal on them for $27 since I don't plan on reselling them.
