Flea market pickups 100 year old books and need a patch ID

Well I went to the flea market this morning and got two old books for $5 for the pair and my brother found this patch on the ground. Any ideas as to how old it is and what it was from?

That is a Unit Commendation award the 2 indicates it is the second time the unit has been commended. Most likely WWII or Korea vintage.

Check the back with a UV black light, if it glows then it's most likely Korean War or even a later repro possibly since they reproduce everything nowadays. Here, read- proper blacklight technique?
