Flint Striker?

I dug this up on a colonial encampment. I found a regular flint strikers at the same site. Would anyone here know what this is? It's about 3"-4" iron. Thanks for any input:icon_scratch:

Hang on to it and keep researching.
It resembles a side plate off the ratchet mechanism of a ratchet strap.

I've never seen a striker like that. I don't know what it is.

Looks like a bed rail hook to me. Some had double hooks.. others had single hooks.
