Floating coil

So I have a whites beach hunter 300, and of course it's notorious for a floating coil in the water. So looking for some tips for a mod to help prevent this problem....

Anderson makes a coil weight, or you can use a sock full of sand wrapped around the rod.

I saw before here that some one said put your coil on backwards and that should help..It seems like it should work….. I have seen ones out in parks detecting with there coils on backwards...

At my favorite "ghost" two guys showed up and broke out their machines. The old guy had his coil
on backward. I didn't chuckle till they left. That was when I was covering their holes. God love a
duck.

Don't know if they still make them,but I had a weighted divers coil put on my Whites pulse when I bought it. Made a world of difference.
