So where is everyone staying while at the hunt?

Since the wife is going we opted for the Hotel Defuniak, a renovated Victorian Bed and Breakfast in nearby DeFuniak Springs but there is some kind of event going on in town and they called and changed the originally quoted price to $110 per night for a regular room AFTER I made the reservation, so I cancelled!!

Their reviews were really good, unlike reviews on the other local hotels and motels.............
But jerking folks around on the price is NOT the way to get new customers.

oy! sounds like a great place but once ya quote a price you need to stick with it folks! I wonder what event is going on in town?? I am glad your wife is coming too! Will be great to meet her!

Yeah, she's interested in meeting all these crazy people I've been talking about since the CTH2.........

I went ahead and rented a room at Vortex Springs. Hope they are decent....................

Mental Granny wanted me to send pictures of myself and my hunting buddies that will be traveling with me. It will be an 8 hour car trip. Have already made our reservations at the Springs. We all have not only traveled over Florida, but South Carolina, Georgia and Nassau, Bahamas.

In the picture number 1 are Karen and myself, Linda (AKA Gypsy Huntress).
