Florida Hunt:

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

Just chiming in, but whoever doesn't like the entrance fee, they can just organize their own hunt, not charge for it, and see how that goes for them....Even though I can't make it, whoever can't afford the $8, just pm me and I will pay it for you...(cheepskate)
okay, I am off my soapbox...
HH to all who will be attending!

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

Oh my those kings cakes look more like decorations than food!! :o I will soooooo eat one though! lol

For what it is worth folks I don't really think anyone was trying to get out of paying to park as much as just confused about the issue that the agreement regarding hunting and paying that fee was between Bobby and the owner of the property, not the park itself. Bobby had to do a lot of work to get the owner to agree to let folks detect there and part of that agreement was that the folks coming to the hunt would pay a daily fee. The employees at the park were obviously not aware yet as to the agreement either so that added to the confusion involved. The only part of the get together that the park employees have anything to do with is if someone is making reservations for lodging there rather than someplace else, anything else would need to be discussed with Bobby so as not to cause any rifts between him and the owner of the property.....then we can avoid further confusion. We will all have a great time, of that I have no doubt and from the sounds of it we are gonna eat too much once again. lol Now...how many days away is it?? Maybe I need to start dieting early! lol

Since the hunt will be before Mardi Gras here, I'm was thinking about bringing a few King Cakes for everyone to have a little taste of Louisiana. For those who ate Charlie's cheese cakes, the king cake does not even compare...I will try and get an assortment...regular and filled. They're sorta like a coffee cake...a Mardi Gras tradition.

 RR

New Orleans style King Cakes are the best in the world, I don't care if you eaten one before unless you had a one from the Bayou State herself you have not had a real King Cake. Thanks Judy for the generous donation

You are so much better at wording things and so much nicer speaking than me  I agree with the above

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

I guess the other question would be is the daily fee per person, per carload or per person that is actually hunting? I wasn't able to answer that one when it was asked because I am only one person, not bringing an A$$, not hunting cuz i am cooking and such and am also staying on property so I never bothered to ask. lol

Sorry WSD, they don't put the baby inside the cake anymore...safety reasons, too many people choked, broke a tooth or whatever.

 RR

This is from the rules thread

If you rent a cabin or camp with the park, entrance fees are waived.
As you can see when you read some cabins hold 6-8 folks with a few people it is pretty cheap to stay there.
If you stay out in town you will be required to pay 8 dollars each day as an entrance fee.

That applies to anyone entering the park associated with the hunt
