Re: Florida Hunt (contest #1 posted on post 439)

Let me be the first to wish everyone a Merry Christmas or to be politically correct, a happy holiday season and to say I can't wait to get there and hunt, go diving and get to the beach. I will be staying at the Pineview location, what about y'all? who cares they have no sheets or blankets and we have to bring our own so I'll be in my sleeping bag. See you there!

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

Maybe I am just tired

This is pretty simple I have posted the rules and costs, I spent the holiday weekend away, visited the park only to have learned someone is trying to get the 8 dollar entrance fee agreement waived that I have with the "Park Owner" by talking with employee's at park.

I am quite willing to let anyone else take this hunt over and run it. I assure anyone that I can do other things if someone else wants to take the reins and go with it.

This is not up for discussion, and really easy as long as I am the Point of Contact (POC) and Hunt Master.

I am providing dinner Saturday at no cost maybe I should spell it out better that means Free

I am not charging a hunt fee which I said in the beginning was due to the 8 dollar fee per person entrance fee if you stayed out in town.

Yes out in town is cheaper to stay, (if you and others don't share a cabin) plus you don't need your own linen which to me means I will be using a sleeping bag.
No cooking or eating utensils provided which to me means I'm using some paper plates, etc and grilling
Have to bring my own own downy snuggles soft towel too

Also staying at the park means no free toiletries.

If someone thinks they are paying to much to hunt on the grounds by paying the 8 dollars well just don't come for I would hate for you to feel you were ripped off.

Other than that pm me if you want to be in charge and I will drop the thread and the new Point Of Contact can start a new thread and run with it.

enough said and again not up for discussion

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

I'm hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday, gave thanks remembered our service men and women, helped those in need and loved on someone.

Good night all

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

Bobby I am so sorry that some one is trying to ruin things everything you stated was already made very clear! Please tell the people at the park that everyone is not like that!
Like you said HUNT MASTER is in charge of it all, like before I even started doin the countdown for real I made sure it was ok with you!

Ok! I cant talk .... just remember some of us go by the rules and some of us love ya too!

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

Hey Bobby, I can't agree more with you on this subject. The fact is Vortex is geared toward Divers and getting Certified and they have hundreds of folk per weekend coming there and can not afford the expense of furnishing everyone linens and things. Vortex as far as accommodations go is bare bones, but that's what it was designed for andbeing a diver myself I could not be more at home and plan to have a good time in the water too. At 68 degrees it will seem like bath water in the winter. There are plenty of other places to stay for those that don't want to fellowship with us.

Tim

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

Good morning Miss Evy! I am ready for warm weather....is summer here yet? lol A bit discouraged this morning as I found out last night that Dani had to have a feeding tube inserted because she has been losing weight and her jaundice is worse so she has to stay under the lights in the incubator except for a half hour at a time when she tries to nurse. I know it will all work out but it is hard not being able to be there until tomorrow and know she is not doing as well. Surely by time for the hunt she will be doing great and be home with her mommy! I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone!

Re: Florida Hunt *Everyone needs to read Post 693*

Since the hunt will be before Mardi Gras here, I'm was thinking about bringing a few King Cakes for everyone to have a little taste of Louisiana. For those who ate Charlie's cheese cakes, the king cake does not even compare...I will try and get an assortment...regular and filled. They're sorta like a coffee cake...a Mardi Gras tradition.

 RR
