In 1857, that could be the downpayment on a house!!! Fantastic find. I'm never found anything that old. I think my oldest was around 90 yrs old and a nickel if i remember right.

Yes, if only that coin could talk, tell us where it's been, who has held it, etc. wouldn't it be nice to get DNA makeup off that coin also. Nice find, I enjoy historical 'type'coins very much. Good job.
