Follow-Up to Royal Artillery Belt Plate Hunt...SPANISH SILVER!!!

Iron Patch and I got out for day two of our 5 day detecting marathon. Yesterday I dug the Royal Artillery cross belt plate and today I managed a 1720's Spanish silver. It is well worn as you can see but easily identified. It is a 2 reale Pistareen. I also found what could be the oldest silver coin I have found but it is not ready to be photographed...needs a little TLC. Thanks for looking!

We identified the other silver find I made yesterday...it is a French colonial 15 Deniers...but it is so worn I will never be able to capture detail to post. It is 1690s so it is officially my oldest silver and oldest coin to date!

We are on our way out the door for day 3 of this detecting marathon...be back in about 14 hours to post results.
