Are you guys in it for the quick flip or the long haul?

I am sitting on about $75 worth of face value copper and am debating whether or not to hold onto it (in the event that copper goes up this year or the melt ban gets lifted) or selling it on Craigslist and using the profit for silver.

I purchased mine online a few years back from Amazon. The best deal on this detector is $60 plus shipping and tax from Hobby Lobby. Use the 40% off online coupon (click the link toward the top of the page) to bring the price down from $99 to $60.

No, I haven't found any silver with it but I've found plenty of clad coins. But that's because I upgraded fairly quickly and moved on to another detector. The BH Tracker IV is a great detector for the money. It has better discrimination capabilities than many detectors at 4 times the price. However, it is not as deep as the better detectors. This detector will pick up a quarter at 5"-6" which is actually deep enough for most sites. But it won't find really deep stuff. Still, for $60 it can't be beat. Especially since it works very well as a first detector to get you used to understanding how to detect. And it is a great detector for kids (and adults). But it is definitely not a toy.

I have about $175 worth at this point. I keep them in containers that hold about $50 worth each.

I'm holding for the long term - though it is getting to the point that I need to take them out of the closet in my room and put them in the garage.
