I found some broken ones but this was the best of the day. The rest are posted in the artifact forum. I believe this is called a Bolen Bevel and dates Early Archaic Period. 10,000-7000 B.P., before present time.

Oh my! Yeah, I love 'em. Just can't seem to find one. All these years and now one! Strange!

Nice save indeed!

Awesome find Rock !

That s a nice one. I haven't found any yet.

Beautiful! I need to get out again and see if the fields are lookable!

Yes you should I havent seen you post one in a while. Just think how many are waiting for you out there.

Thanks I am glad everyone likes it. This one is the best for the yr as in design and being complete. I found my 2nd best last month. This one is a Morrow Mountain stemed point and dates about 7500 BP. Found about a half mile away from the other one.

Nice find. Love the color.

Welcome to the site and thank you. I know some people still find quite a few of the points but I have to say unless you are digging they are getting very scarce on the surface. The ground here is so darn hard due to the red clay mixture in the soil I am not going to try it. I have permission to hunt where I find these artifacts so it is legal for me to pick them up. Thanks everyone rock

Very beautiful finds, I like them much better then the old coins I find. I'm not being a skeptic, just trying to learn, 7500 BP, I'm thinking your phone meant to say BC. My question is how did you determine this date, was it carbon tested or is it a type that comes from that period?

I have arrowhead books that show the age of artifacts by states. In my area of GA on the Peach State site I use at times due to it being more correct for my area it says this point is 10,000 yrs old. In the book it says 10-7500 BP which means Before Present. I found a base to a Paleo point last yr across the street and it was called a Beaver Lake. Thanks for the interest, rock
