Forget the halves, I scored a dream dime box today!!!!

$1000 in halves

Box #1-Le skunk

Box #2-Le dirty rimmed 1964 kennedy :icon_thumright:

After finishing the halves I had just enough time to go trade a teller a box of new dimes for a box of dime from feb. 2010, and boy was I glad I did. After 47 rolls I had 19 silver rosies staring at me!!! I usually average one a box but this was crazy. 3 rolls had over 4 silvers in them!!
Dates(not mintmarks)
1950,1952,1957,1959,1960,1961,1962x3,1963,1964x9!!!

I am saving the last 3 rolls for my gf to open. Wish me luck!

The only thing is that 5 dimes = 1 half dollar keeper. So it's like you got close to 4 90%ers in a box. Still good though. Congrats

ya but dimes can be done much quicker than halves to if you just edge search. I did 4k last saturday in 1 hour, powering through them.

However.....while that is true, in my area, dimes are very consistent whereas silver in halves are nearly non existent. My point is, while having to find multiple dimes to equal 1 90% it is a better choice to go with what produces.

You can only do that if they are clear wrapped rolls. Some of us are not that fortunate and have to open every roll and then re-roll them so half's are faster.
