Fossil from Hinds Co. Mississippi creek

[Ripcon]

Here's a fossil from a Hinds County Mississippi creek. Can anyone help me with an identification?

Take it by the Natural science museum in Jackson and ask for George Phillips or post on FB site Ms. Fossil and artifact.

Off hand, it looks like a giant sized prehistoric shark tooth. Be interesting to know the what & when it existed. Keep us posted if you can.
