I don't know your area.. But if I found them I would think they were just some interesting stones.. I hope someone else chimes in.
 
Nope. They look like just worn down stones
 
They appear to be petrified sea floor mud from an ancient sea with possibly some type of sea creature fossils. I once had a large collection of assorted Crinoid fossils that were trapped in and preserved by the sea floor mud when it petrified and they also came from New York State but exactly where, I do not know. While I am almost certain that the entire pieces are petrified sea floor mud, I can't be sure that what we are seeing are fossils that were trapped and preserved in the mud. They might just be formations caused by currents and eddies before the water drained away or dried up and they stayed in that form as the mud slowly petrified.
