It's very common in N. Central Florida. Also called Ocala Chert.

I wonder how much they hated those when making their points, I have to imagine they’d ruin your ability to continue to work the piece at the least and likely just break along the shell.

Just found another one in my brokes. This is a whole shell and it has tiny crystal's in it.

So cool! Thanks for posting! I have to imagine that being able to complete a good ceremonial point with inclusions like that would really be a 5-star effort, no? (not implying that these are ceremonial)

Fossil spiral shell in this broken Thonotosassa point. It is full of minute crystals.
