Found 1937 buffalo/ indianhead nickel

Whooo-Hoooo! I actually found a coin older than 1975!! I found a 1937 indianhead nickel on a local beach today. I only got to MD about 30 minutes before the snow started pretty hard. I found a couple of pull tabs, a couple of nails, a rusty old door hinge, and then the nickel. I cleaned it up ( I KNOW, I KNOW), but I'm gonna keep it anyway. Out of curiosity what's one worth in good shape? I found it in a spot where the beach is washing and there is exposed gravel. It was about 5 inches deep. I used vinegar and salt for about two minutes then baking soda and water. It really cleaned up nicely! Found with my G. Sea Hunter

Keep digging the spots where the sand gets washed away and you'll find more soon enough. Good Hunt!
How do you like the Sea Hunter? How long have you been using it?

I won't be able to get back there for a few days but I can't wait! I have had the Garret for about 4 months. I've used it underwater, on beaches and dry land. It seems to work equally well anywhere. It has been a great MD to learn with. I've never found any gold or anything else worth much but I have found a lot of clad, and junk jewelery. It really gets the heart going when fanning sand under water and you see a big gold(looking) earring or other trinket, I just need to find some real jewelry. I'm still learning but getting better. I think the next one I get will be a Excal, but I have no regrets with the Sea Hunter. If you get one get ready to dig nails at two feet. It's pretty sensitive.
