I was able to hit 2 spots this week at lunch break ... really quick hunts but was really happy with the 2 points both are nice ones.

Found this one first it was rite at the water level where the waves were hitting I thought it was a flake when I saw it so it was a nice surprise it has some really nice flaking for as small as it is .. must take some skill to do that.

I was headed back to my truck so I stayed up higher on the beach to look for anything fresh out of the banks and spotted this one ....

Thank you sir , I was surprised by that second bigger one .... seems like it’s getting harder and harder to find ones even that big anymore

Real nice finds, either of the points would have made my day ! You have real good eyes to be able to pick out the used hardstone amongst those river shore cobbles. The smaller black serrated point I would think of as a good example of a locally made Kirk stemmed point. The larger point looks like it might be made of rhyolite in the dry insitus, and helps suggest it is probably in the Susquehanna broadspear family, with some Normanskill looks about it too?
Looks like not much of a problem with the algae this time of year in that spot. Keep em coming !!

I think your correct about the one being rhyolite it’s a darker shade than usual and has a bit of a waxy feel to it but still think that’s what it is. You would think it would be easy to type that one but I was having issues I will look into your suggestions I appreciate the input. Your absolutely rite about the algae .... the next few weeks are probably best time of year for river hunting the new reeds popping up push points out and no algae to battle with hopefully I can make it out a few more times
