Would have been a nice find back in 83. The nickel is dated 1983-P and the front of the nickel is fine. The back of the coin is all wrinkled looking. Would anyone know how the strike would have come out looking like this? Just curious.

It could be damage from heat. Just a thought, like Mackydon said probably post mint damage.(pmd)
