Found this Damond while shopping. Walking to my truck looked down, and there it was. I didn't know for sure it was real until I got home, and did a few test on it. Had it tested, and appraised by qualified people, and found out it is worth 5,350 (Five Thousand three hundred, and fifty dollars). I still don't believe it. Locked it up in a safe place until I decide what to do with it. The man said it was an Old English Cut diamond, cut between 1890, and 1910,

This is an UPDATE from an earlier post:

My guess is some poor soul is looking for it? Nice recovery on your part.

All the best,

Lanny

Nice Eye Spy... wait not nice..., great!

WOW, Great "eyeball" find.:hello2:
It wasn't too long ago there was another thread about someone who found a diamond in a shopping center parking lot and one other guy said he or his friend (can't remember who) had lost his in a shopping center parking lot as well. The bags must pull them off I guess. So now I focus on the ground at the malls.
ZDD

Congrats Old River. For the last couple of years I've read you posts of excellent finds while detecting, now you have another one while shopping....I wish I had your skill and luck,

Bill

That is a great eyeball find. Loose prongs lose diamonds. You could melt down all your scrap gold into a ring/necklace with this diamond for your significant other as a great gift. Just an idea.

Amazing find:occasion14:

Good eye..

Wow! What a nice rock! Good job!

I know a little bit about how you must feel. I posted back a while ago about how I came across two little stones. One was just a spec. The other, about a .5 carat RAW diamond. Just had to do with keeping my eyes open while hunting and picking up trash.

Good catch!

HH!

Bill It was just pure luck to find that diamond.

I'm hoping to make a few more post in the future. Been down for a while, and not able to get out. Thanks....
